Sirvan and Hoda, an Iranian couple living in a refugee camp in Berlin, have had their asylum application rejected. In an attempt to secure a residence permit, they decide that Hoda should become pregnant by a German man. As they pursue this unconventional path, they find themselves increasingly trapped in the labyrinth of German bureaucracy and begin to question the laws and structures governing their lives.
